Standing Together in Prayer
Ephesians 6:19-20
“19 Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.”
So to wrap up the book of Ephesians, Paul tells believers around the world, for centuries the riches we have in Christ Jesus and the freedom from the power of sin to live lives of obedience and grace.
Don’t let yourself be driven by sin. Fight against it. Work at breaking bad habits. Pray always and then again I say, pray.
Remember where the battle is. It is not against flesh and blood, our brothers and sisters in Christ, or against political leaders or our neighbor. It is against the spiritual power around us. It is in our minds, hearts and then resulting in actions.
Put on the whole armor of God and having done all, stand. 37 For, “In just a little while, he who is coming will come and will not delay.” 38 And, “But my righteous one will live by faith. And I take no pleasure in the one who shrinks back.” Hebrews 10: 37-38.
Let us stand ready, dressed for battle awaiting the return of our Savior. No matter how long it takes, He has promised He will return again for us. For those of us who missed our family gathering this Easter comfort yourself with the vision of sitting at the table in heaven, set for you, and for me, lovingly prepared for us by angel’s hands, surrounded with the entire loving, living, rejoicing Bride of Christ.
Now that will be a meal I don’t want to miss!!! And having done all, to stand. “39 But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved.” Hebrews 10:39.
